Missing the moon for days now, the stars hid behind the clouds, furiously blinking away their tears.. the wind went berserk, trying to mute all sounds of desolation.. was it a sea creature's heavy breath or the butcher sharpening its knife ominously.. nerve-wracking echoes filtered through the darkness.. dogs howled in grief, a sea gull lost its bearings and screamed for help.. lights dissolved in tears, embracing each other, melting into the sea.. the trees tried to uplift the concrete jungle, wan and desolate.. the rooster winsomely sang the morning song.. as the conch blew notes of love and worship.. the dawn was greeted with broken clouds consoling each other in vain.. holding them in the palm of her hand tickling with fingers of love it saw its hues uplifting their lips.. showering rays of joy like never before, the sun let them cover its eyes in a distracting game of hide and seek ..
