Education has become a point in percentages and good marks instead of the awareness the learning the nurturing it should have been.. Children are tortured unknowingly at times as we put them up as exhibits.. Instead of empathizing with their plight saying it's okay - They are more important than the results they bring in.. We put them at the stake of our pride and joy.. Jewels we are blessed with.. Always missing the beauty of that uncut diamond which we chiselled.. Unfortunately sometimes.. Maybe into nothing.... Most educational Institutions shun the weaker students.. be it by rejecting their admission forms.. or after admission.. wish they could understand, like in this zen story of "'Right and Wrong'", who really needs their help.. and what their 'calling' as an educationist entails.. most 'Professionals' face Public censure each time they renege on their duties.. A Doctor is held both answerable and responsible for the Patient under his care.. but a student is held responsible for his own grades suffering.. openly rebuked and ridiculed, a child who needs a hand is pushed back down instead.. so what is a 'teacher' there for.. the student.. education.. either way there is so much more to both than mere academic excellence.. a child could maybe not get the maths right.. but could sing like an angel.. and the teacher could maybe get the math right but then what about dancing.. or painting.. each teacher specializing in his/her own subject.. no two teachers are the same.. no two Individuals are the same.. then why has education become the yardstick for self worth.. "'Mr.Khan'" has 'visualized' this concept so beautifully in his movie.. countless children must be blessing him for 'empathizing' with their plight.. touching on 'dyslexia' so cruelly ignored by parents and teachers both.. and how a tiny heart can shrivel or flower so easily.. and yet none can see.. even Parents.. helplessly stuck in the rat race.. and norms.. expect there child to fulfill expectations that they themselves could never meet.. to be 'winners' at any cost.. almost 'robotic' life works like clockwork.. and children honed like polished diamonds.. adorning our homes.. here is a beautiful thought from the movie "'Samsara'".. 'how do you prevent a drop of water from drying.. by putting it back in the sea'..
