with hopeful eyes a heart full of love
the bride and groom take their vows
bathed in the glow of pure happiness
budding dreams and tender joy....
who stepped in what went wrong
why don't we just leave them alone
what is this heavy burden they carry
will they ever let go....
Marriage..? is it about giving up
your freedom your individuality
who twisted this relationship from something sacred
to undefined suffocating misconceptions..
we have roles to play and we play them
with put-on maturity and false importance
and end up inheriting generations of mistakes
and continue to miss out on that glow we stepped into...
