most of the time we say things so vehemently, whether it's about ourselves or others.. even though life is all about 'change'.. and we all of us are being affected every moment.. by our circumstances.. our friends.. family.. environment.. daily even momentary occurrences.. mishaps or fortunes.. what is our 'truth' today can change tomorrow.. we simply cannot profess to know ourselves beyond a given moment..
a lady saw some guy spitting on the road and was completely disgusted.. saying she would never ever do something like that.. yet a few days later outside a temple, during one of her fasts, a child put something in her mouth, and she had to spit it out on the road..
a yoga student found a couple of yogic exercises extremely childish and would always dismiss them as unnecessary and hardly exercise.. few years down the line.. the very exercises he derided became the most difficult and painful ones because of chronic pain in certain parts of the body..
we all have countless such incidents in our lives where our words come back to us in ways suitably reprimanding..
the dappling sunshine chiding asks.. with it's cooling warmth and shade.. do you want to rise and see me.. could you reach out to touch..
if 'apocalypse' is synonymous with 'revelation'.. then I wonder at the 'rare' celebration as in your words.. 'dread' and 'fear' becoming the associated norm..
