Cosmic dance

sometimes my thoughts swing out
in this cosmic dance
challenging every dreamscape

sometimes the silences
soar on unspoken wings
pulsating with uncontained joy

sometimes I want to touch us
and the sun mocks this whim
to grasp it's pure light

sometimes I search for us
and see a smile
seducing eternity

sometimes I miss us
and the breeze laughs
at this illusive semblance

sometimes I glimpse us in
strange eyes and an amused Dawn
mirthfully winks at it's Dusky twin

sometimes I hear the hurt in your voice
and the silver lining chides
the impatient disquiet in my heart

sometimes I question time
and the stars chidingly ask
why we see them only at night

sometimes I feel the futility of us
and the moon smiles through it's
dance of shadow and light

sometimes I wonder why we met
and the heavens open their arms to show
this hand had always been there

sometimes yes sometimes in this dew
of emotion I feel God himself
and the questions mock any need to be there
