shifting sands

wishes - innocent faith like a breath of hopeful wonder.. wrapped in life itself.. a fluid eternal quest.. and that special moment you took out.. only for a wish.. compulsive.. precious.. 'dusky'..

have you heard the story of the four blind men trying to describe the elephant.. we do see only as much as we want to.. the bigger picture always escaping us.. does that make everything.. each answer, a unified whole.. only us.. having 'limited' sight.. believing the part for the 'complete'.. sometimes I think in this 'clash' between science and spirituality.. both will reach the same solution.. needing the 'complementary' paths.. to realize their truths..

sometimes I wonder if we remain on the fringes of an emotion.. or get in deep.. so deep.. that any line, any distinction.. simply vanishes in this sea of pure feeling.. and in euphoric exultation the waves try to reach higher and higher and fall yet again.. in this quest to understand.. thundering.. tranquil.. alive moments.. seeking their answers to questions yet unasked.. emotions unplumbed unexplored.. new.. yet.. just fringes of a self that needs to be touched.. and hands guiding in this search.. unknown.. step in.. as hesitant.. unsure.. we surrender.. in awe of this unfolding.. these windows that we can see.. but others hold the key .. gently helping us walk this maze of our self.. and we see the magic.. and we feel the mystery.. and we move towards meanings held in this lifetime.. slowly flowering within us.. and we look in these eyes.. mixed emotions.. every moment an introduction.. every moment a goodbye..

life feels like the shifting sands.. those dunes in the desert.. we try to look back and recognize ourselves.. finding in vain that same image.. ravaged through winds of time.. a breeze or storm.. all working towards us.. as we are now.. footsteps blown away.. fresh prints on the plane of our existence.. now here.. now there..

loved the movie 'life is beautiful'.. some compelling notes entice.. teasing these strings in hypnotic symphony..
