How am I to describe the ‘serenity’ in music.. like a ‘rivulet’.. meandering.. rippling.. gurgling.. free.. breathing joy and beauty in our hearts.. really ethereal..
read a book long long back.. 'bringing heaven down to earth' by Tzvi Freeman
.. in which he writes God as G-d.. feeling an empty craving in his gut.. despite immersing himself in the thoughts of so many great people.. yet deeply affected by the teachings of Rebbe, as he quotes.. “these are the words of my heart speaking from within”.. to have someone you can exchange your ideas with.. a kind of mental and emotional stimulation that few can fill..
beautifully put..
‘LISTEN to each other when we disagree’.. for one of the best ways to persuade others is through your ears..
yes, ‘humanity’ has made a lot of progress.. is it more ‘outwards’.. is that the void most feel.. losing touch with our souls.. catapulting towards materialistic goals in some mad rush.. necessary.. I know.. this progress.. but man with all his progress.. being the most intelligent life form on earth.. seems to be harming our planet the most..
according to biologist E.O.Wilson
, every species makes a constructive contribution – small or great- to the ecology of the planet.. except us.. if we became extinct, there would hardly be any problems for other species or for the ecology.. in fact, most ecological problems would be solved.. arguably we are the most intelligent species on the planet.. yet, science indicates, intelligent humans are nothing but a burden for the planet.. for, how despite that ‘intelligence’ are we making not a positive but negative contribution to the biosphere..
who has built walls.. created boundaries.. exhausted our natural resources in self-seeking momentary gain.. created complicated rituals.. delineated relationships.. castes.. religion..
‘education’ becoming more and more lop-sided.. with the stress to ‘learn’ by rote.. to compete.. to excel.. which by themselves beautiful qualities.. somehow decompose into ones of ‘power’ and singular gain.. or stamped failure.. yes, education has helped man progress phenomenally..
if only we could get out of the ‘herd’ mentality and stop becoming a ‘pawn’ at the whims of a handful of ‘leaders’.. if only we could erase these boundaries individually.. collectively.. and let ‘humanity’ shine with it’s own true meaning..
love the thought about the ‘anomalies’..
it’s so true of marriages.. and a sense of ownership.. if we could only realize one can grow ‘together’ separately.. only then can any relationship breathe.. ‘strengthening’ each other from within.. with our love and trust and faith.. instead of the ‘destruction’ we end up wreaking.. blindly following societal norms as yet another necessary ‘custom’.. completely missing the meaning behind..
