chimera

we always want to reach out to 'touch' someone.. to find God.. to fill that 'emptiness'.. and yet..

when we feel that 'touch'.. that fulfilment.. what do we do.. questions.. more questions.. threshing the feeling into ragged tatters.. that leave a shadow in our hearts

that one moment of just simple acceptance.. drinking in.. getting high on the pure joy of it all.. sadly always.. always eluding

the yardstick gauging.. judging the emotion.. always strange.. comprehensions falling way short.. sometimes distorting.. showing the world a shadow of what only our eyes can see

conditioned.. unable to grasp that something 'more'.. we so desperately look for.. that chimera - a mirage becoming the oasis we so essentially need.. to give meaning to our lives..
