blurred lines

Any name you might give
the meaning still remains 'God'
then what are we destroying?
what are these fights about?

Burning places of Worship
who is moving away from HIM?
nothing negates HIS presence
and our faith is within.

Different languages, different cultures
each gave HIM a name, a face
still none sketched boundaries in the sky
still a single heaven remains.

If our souls are meeting there
do they to religions subscribe?
could we then destroy the very sons
we begged for in previous lives!

To save a life sometimes
we even have to sever a limb
how then are hurtful customs
left to fester and bleed?

Whether girl child or boy
who are these fathers who can stand by
and see their children suffer
how do they justify?

Blatant protests stifled
under false shrouds yet again
these resounding screams echo
questioning in pain.

Man's progress from barbarism
to so-called civilization
as our eyes continue to avoid
the blurred lines of humanity.

If there is a natural calamity
the world gets together to help
why then should there be lines
when it comes to ones man-made?

You kick a dog and someone will intervene
it's pure shame if we just stand by
and humanity is crucified yet again
as the sheep simply follow blindly....
